AFL round 11 odds and fixture update
AFL Round 11 kicks off on Saturday, August 8, with a fantastic match-up between ladder leaders Port Adelaide and defending premiers Richmond at Adelaide Oval.
The Tigers have already battered one premiership contender into submission this week when they thrashed Brisbane by 41 points at the Gold Coast on Tuesday night.
Bookmakers have made them slight favourites to beat the Power, who beat the Western Bulldogs on Monday night.
The Lions ($1.39) get the chance to bounce back later on Saturday when they host the Bulldogs ($3) at the Gabba.
The round 11 action continues on Sunday with West Coast red-hot favourites to beat Carlton, with both teams coming off a bye in round 10. Bookies have the Eagles around $1.29 against Carlton at $3.60.
Battlers Melbourne and North Melbourne clash at Adelaide Oval later on Sunday, with the Dees rated $1.47 chances to return to the winners’ list.
The round 11 actions continues with two matches on Monday and a match on Tuesday and Wednesday, though bookies are struggling to keep up with the non-stop action as they wait for injury reports to filter through.
AFL 2020 premiership betting update
Defending premiers Richmond have soared int from $6.50 to $4.75 outright favourites to win the 2020 premiership thanks to a crushing win against the Lions.
They will soar even further if they can take care of Port Adelaide in Adelaide on Saturday.
The Lions blew from $5.50 out to $7 third favourites but should not be dismissed as they seem likely to finish in the top four given their many matches on home turf this season, if you count the Gold Coast as home turf.
Collingwood are out of favour at $10 despite a grinding win over the swans. The Magpies have lost prime mover Adam Treloar (hamstring), Will Hoskin-Elliott (knee) and young talent Isaac Quaynor (leg) to potentially long-term injuries and they already had an extensive injury list.
The Western Bulldogs are out to $34 and desperately need to upstage the Lions on Saturday night to get their season back on track.
