AFLW betting 2025

THE AFL Women’s league or AFLW might be in its fledgling years, but betting is already commonplace, with bookmakers all over the globe hosting odds and taking bets on the Aussie rules ladies competition. AFLW betting can be done all over Australia, with Australian online bookmakers such as Sportsbet, Neds and Ladbrokes having extensive betting on head-to-head matches, outright AFL winner and even league best-and-fairest and leading goal kicker awards.

AFLW dates and schedule 2025

The AFLW season for 2025 will start in the second week of August and run for 12 home and away rounds, with a three-week finals series.

The AFLW will remain a 18-team competition in 2025, with each AFL club now having a women’s league team.

The AFLW launched as just an eight team competition, but quickly expanded to 10 teams (2019), 14 teams (2020) and 18 teams for the 2022 season.

The AFL is yet to announce whether the proposed men’s team from Tasmania will field an AFLW outfit.

AFLW betting 2025

North Melbourne is the 2025 pre-season AFLW premiership fancy, after their victory over Brisbane in last year’s decider, which netted them a first flag.

Coached by ex-Roos hardman Darren Crocker, the North Melbourne AFLW team went through the 2024 season undefeated, suffering just one draw and now look to be in the box seat to be the first team ever to go back-to-back.

Perennial powerhouse Adelaide and 2023 champion Brisbane are on the next line of AFLW betting at $6, while Geelong and Melbourne have been priced at around the $10 quote.

Western Bulldogs, West Coast and Carlton (all $81) are not expected to challenge for the 2025 AFLW premiership.
