The Crows are yet to win a game in 2020 and have been installed extreme outsiders in the betting in this contest and it is hard seeing them challenging the Cats, who are playing some brilliant football.
Leading AFL bookmaker Unibet has priced the Crows at $8.50 and the Cats are paying $1.06, which offers zero value for punters, unless you think the home team can cause an upset.
Geelong is coming off their best performance of the season last Friday, a 10 goal victory over top-of-the-table Port Adelaide, which was dominated by big Cat Tom Hawkins, who tore the Power backline apart.
Adelaide, which will have two days less rest than Geelong, last played on Sunday when they were thrashed by 57 points by the Western Bulldogs as the horror initiation to senior coaching continued for Matthew Nicks.

Adelaide’s growing injury list is unlikely to improve much before the Geelong clash, with forward Tom Lynch, youngster Andrew McPherson, Brad Crouch and Will Hamill unlikely to return this week. Former Magpies forward Ben Crocker could return after missing Dogs clash with illness.
The Cats could rest Cam Guthrie who is battling general soreness, but Luke Dahlhaus is expected to return from a foot injury. Dahlhaus could be joined in the Cats team by Esava Ratugolea, who just needs to get through training, and Jack Steven after both were given a spell against the Power.

Tom Hawkins – To Score 3+ More Goals
The Cats star is probably the fittest he has ever been, with a noticeably slimmed down Hawkins leading the Coleman Medal race, three goals ahead of Eagles spearhead Josh Kennedy. Hawkins has kicked 3+ goals in each of Geelong’s last four matches that they have started as favourite and they are expected to beat up on the Crows here. Hawkins is paying $1.81 to kick 3+ goals, and if he can add a fourth you will secure odds of around the $3.88 mark.
Matt Crouch to get over 25 disposals
This tip is purely for your multibets and does not offer enough value for an outright bet. Crows midfielder Matt Crouch is just one of them players that keeps winning the ball, despite opponents often winning plenty going the other way. He is only paying $1.45 to gather 25 touches but you can almost always bank on him doing so. Put into your same game multis with confidence.
Over/Unders
The over or under betting market has been set at 130.5 for the Cats v Power clash, which looks to be generous given there is expected to be rain in Adelaide over the weekend. Keep this in mind, Geelong and Port Adelaide only scored 122 points between them last round and the Crows have much less firepower. Geelong has emerged as a serious premiership contender in recent weeks, with the Cats dismissing the Power last round in brilliant circumstances. They have a gun midfield lead by Patrick Dangerfield and big Hawkins is probably the best key forward in the game at the moment. We just can’t mount a case for the Crows here and expect them to go another week without a win. Our final Geelong v Port Adelaide prediction? Cats by 41 points.
