Richmond v Fremantle betting tips, prediction & odds udpate; PSL Preview 3/9

Welcome to our Richmond v Fremantle betting tips, prediction and odds update ahead of their round 15 AFL clash at Metricon Stadium on Wednesday.

The reigning champions are in fine form and are expected to win this game, but their opponents Fremantle have improved immensely this year and have been great to watch.

Ominously the Tigers have moved into the top four, off the back of rattling off three straight wins, with their pressure around the contest matching their premiership form at times.

A win here and the Tigers would, at least momentarily, move into outright second on the AFL ladder, but will have played one more game than Geelong and two more than Brisbane.

Fremantle have won five games this season, with the development of high draft picks Andrew Brayshaw and Adam Cerra among others giving the Purple haze something to smile amount. The emergence of key forward Matt Taberner has also given the Dockers an edge they have not had in previous seasons.

Despite these green shoots, the Dockers are rank outsiders in the betting, with leading AFL bookie Unibet installing them at the $6.50 quote. Richmond are priced at $1.12 and the line has been set at 31.5.

Richmond, who last played on Thursday night when they eclipsed West Coast by 27 points, will lose Kane Lambert with general soreness and Dylan Grimes (hamstring) for the clash. Nathan Broad has been confirmed as one of the replacements.

The Dockers are sweating on the fitness of polished defender Luke Ryan but could regain Travis Colyer with the speedster passing a fitness test. Griffin Logue and Lloyd Meek are also unavailable through injury for the clash.

Richmond v Fremantle tips

Our AFL betting expert has scoured the odds and found several value Tigers v Dockers tips for Wednesday’s game.

Tom Lynch to kick 4+ goals

The weather is expect to be fine on the Gold Coast on Wednesday night, and the Dockers have a depleted backline, especially if Ryan doesn’t play. This means it could be a big day for the key forwards at the Tigers and Fremantle might not be able to paper over their lack of big defenders with their improved structure this time. Lynch is paying $5.50 to kick 4+ goals with Unibet.

Richmond and over in Unibet doubles betting

In this Richmond v Fremantle tip, we’re taking Richmond to win and the total game points to be over 120.5. We think the Tigers can exploit the undermanned Dockers backline and should be able to kick a big score. This option is only paying $2.10 with Unibet but looks to be a safe wager.

Richmond Tigers vs Fremantle Dockers 2/9/2020

Richmond have stormed into premiership contention in their last eight matches and it’s hard seeing them having a hiccup against the Dockers at the unfamiliar location of the Gold Coast. The injuries are beginning to mount at Punt Road, with Dion Prestia now facing a race against time to play again this season, and Dylan Grimes joining several others on the sidelines. This would worry Damien Hardwick, but their form continues to impress and they should easily account for the Dockers. The big question for those betting on the game? Will they cover the line? Our final Richmond v West Coast prediction? Tigers by 32 points.
