Major french gambling company becomes Unibet

FDJ United will consolidate its online betting operations by merging the Parions Sport brand into Unibet at the end of March 2026, continuing the group’s post-acquisition integration strategy.

Customers were informed that accounts will be migrated to the Unibet platform via a scheduled app update, with existing login credentials remaining valid.

The move follows FDJ’s €2.45 billion acquisition of Kindred Group, completed in October 2024. Unibet operates as Kindred’s flagship international betting brand and is now controlled by FDJ United, the French lottery and gaming giant.

“I am delighted to announce today the acquisition of Kindred, a leading European player in the competitive online betting and gaming sector,” FDJ’s Chairwoman and CEO Stéphane Pallez said at the time of the merger.

“Kindred has strong brands, recognised technological excellence and an attractive growth and profitability profile, all of which will bolster FDJ’s strengths.

“The two groups also share high standards for responsible gaming and a business model that combines performance and responsibility.”

Parions Sport, originally launched as Cote & Match before rebranding in 2009, represented FDJ’s legacy online sports betting operation.

The integration reflects a broader consolidation trend across the global gambling sector. Recent years have seen a series of major transactions, including Flutter Entertainment’s acquisition of Sisal, DraftKings’ takeover of Golden Nugget Online Gaming, and Entain’s purchase of SuperSport Bet.
