French Open semi final tips

The French Open semi finals have been decided, with Lorenzo Musetti se to clash with Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner to do battle with Novak Djokovic.

Alcaraz is the 1.83 favourite to win the French Open, ahead of world no.1 Sinner (2.50) with the pair on a collision course to meet in the final.

The Spaniard blitzed American Tommy Paul 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 in his quarter final, with this performance enough to launch him into French Open favouritism.

Musetti advanced into the semis with an impressive victory over Frances Tiafoe 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2, with the Italian finding himself in trouble after appearing to kick a ball at a line judge, but he ultimately escaped sanction.

Sinner was almost as impressive in his quarter final, defeating Alexander Bublik 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 to book his semi-final against former world no.1 Djokovic, who is priced at 7.50 to win the tournament.

Djokovic, the sixth seed, defeated Alexander Zverev in four sets but now faces his bogeyman Sinner in his bid to beat his own record of being the oldest man to win at Roland Garros, a record he set in 2023.

Musetti v Alcaraz tips

Odds: Musetti (5.40) v Alcaraz (1.15)

Lorenzo Musetti faces an uphill battle in his semi-final against Carlos Alcaraz, an opponent he has a struggled to beat in the past, with a 1-5 record against, although his one win did come on clay.

Our tip: Alcaraz to win in three sets.

Sinner v Djokovic tips

Odds: Sinner (1.24) v Djokovic (4.10)

Jannik Sinner has not missed a beat since returning from his very short drugs suspension, and he will start heavy favourite in his clash against Djokovic. Sinner has won his last four encounters against Djokovic and we think this trend will continue here.

Our tip: Sinner to win in four sets.
