Greyville racing tips and form for Wednesday, April 8
Welcome to our Greyville racing tips and form analysis for the Wednesday meeting taking place on April 8. This meeting was originally scheduled for Scottsville, but heavy rain saw the track become unsafe and the meeting was relocated to the polytrack at Greville. Andrew Harrison says the change will play a major role in how the eight race card will play out, with the synthetic track suiting a different profile of runner. Below are our free Greyville racing tips for Wednesday April 8.
Race 1
HOLLYWOODBETS SCOTTSVILLE WELCOMES YOU JUVENILE PLATE
(8) GREEN ENERGY was unlucky on debut before winning well second up and looks a big runner. (6) KAZENOYONI came from well back to win on debut. The extra trip should suit and he can improve further. (2) PINK SKIES was not far behind smart stablemate MASTER MAGICIAN last time when taking on winners. She has a light weight and is in the mix. (3) GREEK HERITAGE takes on males but showed promise on debut. The step up in trip from a good draw should suit.

Race 2
RACE COAST – BRIGHT FUTURE FOR SA HORSE RACING (F & M)
Moderate field with several first timers. Of those with experience, (4) ROYAL CREST looks progressive despite taking on older horses. (5) WINTER BLESSING has been consistent and gets the blinkers back on. She should be competitive. (9) JENNY DARLING is battling but showed some improvement last time and could place.

Race 3
BET WITH TOTE MAIDEN PLATE
(2) QUEST OF VALOR takes on older runners but has produced two solid efforts to date. (11) MASTERCRAFTER had market support on debut, raced green and should improve. (12) XIPHOS is consistent but often lacks a finishing kick. Place claims. (3) AMBER ALERT has improved in blinkers and should be thereabouts again.

ONLINE FORM GUIDE APPRENTICE CLASS 5 (F & M)
(7) ROY’S GRACE returned from a break in good order and with a 4kg claimer should run well. (4) GREENLIGHT QUEEN is in good form and was a solid second last start. (3) LILAC IN WINTER was a comfortable winner last time and meets her rival slightly worse at the weights. (2) FATE DECREED is still chasing a second win but has improved and carries a light weight.

GALLOP TV B STAKES
(6) TOUCHED BY ANGELS brings strong Cape form and was narrowly beaten last time. This is his best trip. (1) DYLAN’S CHAMP has improved with blinkers and from a good draw with Muzi Yeni aboard must be respected. (3) ROLLO THE VIKING is better on the poly but his recent turf form is solid and he stays in contention. (11) FORWARD MOTION is very consistent but takes on males. Still has a money chance.

IN THE BOX SEAT PODCAST C STAKES
(9) CAVALRY COMMANDER made a smart debut for the yard and can build on that. (7) COWBOY COUNTRY has been disappointing but gets a rating drop and first-time blinkers. Can improve. (1) ROCK MUSIC makes his local debut with decent Highveld form. Claim and headgear help. (8) CARIBBEAN GOLD won well last time and looks useful.

BET WITH COLOSSUS POOLS EXCLUSIVE B STAKES
(4) DONQUERARI is consistent and well suited to this course and distance. (5) CIRCUMBENDIBUS has improved in KZN and was an easy last-start winner. Can follow up. (2) POSITION OF POWER is lightly raced and rarely far off them. (9) VISION TO ACHIEVE steps up in class but is quick and carries a fair weight.

LUCKY FISH WISH MAKER C STAKES
(5) STAR OF THE FUTURE has had two runs for the new yard and should improve over this trip. (4) BASIE RAAKVAT is consistent and should be competitive again. (2) MARY READ improved in blinkers and may prefer this distance. (1) INTUITIVE SPIRIT has been taking on stronger and could feature with a light weight.

HOLLYWOODBETS BRIGHT FUTURE CLASS 4
(6) GALLIC VICTOR is lightly raced and looks capable of improvement over this trip. (5) NEXT OF KIN is in good form and looks the main threat. (7) SERPENTINE FIRE has been consistent and overcame a tough draw last time. (2) NUMZAAN is better than his last run and can finish in the money.
