Devonport horse racing track

Devenport horse racing track mapThe Devonport Racecourse is in Devonport, Tasmania, and is the oldest sporting organisation in the area.

The Devonpnort Cup is the main race held at the track each year, with it being in January. Traditionally the Devonport Cup is a lead-up race to the Hobart and Launceston Cups with it being run over 1800m.

The track is notorious for its gruelling uphill run home, with many good horses claimed by its challenging spectre.

The Devonport area has a proud tradition in horse racing, including being the home of Piping Lane, the 1972 Melbourne Cup winner.

All of the top Australian betting sites feature wagering on the Devenport races when there are TAB meetings on. Non-Australian readers will find extensive horse racing betting at international betting sites.
