Nevada Gaming Control Board reports Super Bowl wagering decline
Nevada sportsbooks recorded $133.8 million in wagers on Super Bowl betting this year, according to figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
The unaudited results show a sports book win of $9.89 million from total wagers of $133,813,230, producing a hold percentage of 7.4% across the state’s 186 licensed sports books.
The handle marked one of the lower totals of the past decade, falling well short of the record $190.0 million wagered in 2024.
The figures are still delivered a solid result for Nevada betting sites, considering the rise of the largely unregulated prediction websites, including Polymarket, Fanatics Predictions and Kalshi. Nevada bookies have now generated wins in each of the last ten Super Bowls, with hold percentages ranging from 0.7% to 14.6%.
On the field, the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29–13 in Super Bowl LX. Seattle pulled away in the second half, limiting New England’s offense and sealing the franchise’s latest championship on American football’s biggest stage.
