FanDuel empowers punters with new bet tracking feature
FanDuel has rolled out a new bet tracking feature that allows viewers to follow their wagers in real time while watching live NBA and NHL games on FanDuel Sports Network, marking a further convergence of sports betting and live broadcasts in the United States.
The interactive tool, now live in select legal betting markets, links a customer’s FanDuel Sportsbook account directly to the broadcast. As games unfold, bets are automatically updated on screen, reflecting live outcomes and in-play developments.
FanDuel’s President of Sports Mike Raffensperger said the bet tracking technology was all part of providing outstanding coverage of mainstream sports in the USA.
“The integration of Bet Tracking into live NBA and NHL games on FanDuel Sports Network represents another significant milestone in our partnership and our commitment to delivering an unparalleled viewing experience to fans,” he said.
“Over the past year, our partnership with FanDuel Sports Network has elevated our brand presence, deepened engagement across our products, and proven the impact of combining live local sports with interactive technology.
“We look forward to continuing this successful partnership and exploring new ways to collaborate in the future as we remain committed to driving innovation at the intersection of sports entertainment and betting.”
FanDuel said the integration builds on its partnership with Main Street Sports Group and is designed to deepen fan engagement by merging live action with betting activity.
Similar bet-tracking and interactive broadcast tools have existed for many years in more mature sports betting markets such as the United Kingdom and Australia, where in-play data overlays are now a standard part of wagering coverage.
Main Street Sports Group Chief Revenue Officer Eric Ratchman said the bet tracking and technical initiatives they were implementing were contributing to sustained growth.
“In markets where FanDuel Sports Network and FanDuel’s Sportsbook operate together, we’re seeing meaningful, sustained growth,” he said.
“Fans who engage with FanDuel’s on-screen integrations are watching nearly twice as many games per season and staying connected with our product more than 40 days longer on average. That level of engagement underscores the power of how this partnership is helping to shape the future of local sports viewing.”
Alongside bet tracking, the partnership has expanded on-screen odds for NBA and NHL matches, promotional offers and shared live content, which can be viewed by linked acocunts.
FanDuel is one of North America’s biggest betting sites with it exceptionally popular in both the USA and Canada.
