Kahnawàke Gaming Commission warns of fake licensing website
The Kahnawàke Gaming Commission (KGC) has issued a public warning about a website falsely claiming to be connected to the regulator and providing misleading information about its licensing services.
In a statement released this week, the Commission said it had become aware of kahnawake-gaming-license.com, a website that it alleges is falsely representing or implying an affiliation with the KGC.

According to the regulator, the site advertises unauthorized contact channels using the Commission’s official domain name and makes false claims regarding the KGC’s prohibited target markets.
The website is encouraging users to sign up and receive a KGC licence, and highlights that their operators can target the US market, which is a claim the regulator has denied in the past.
“The Kahnawàke Gaming Commission does not operate, endorse, authorize, or have any affiliation with this website in any way,” the regulator said.
The Commission reminded operators and stakeholders that all legitimate KGC licences are issued exclusively through its official website and that licensing information should only be obtained through verified KGC channels.
The gambling regulator also encouraged anyone with concerns about the validity of a licence, website or communication claiming to be associated with the Commission to contact it directly for verification.
The warning comes as gaming regulators around the world continue to combat impersonation scams and fraudulent websites that seek to exploit the reputations of established licensing authorities.
Based in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke, located near Montréal in Québec, Canada, the Kahnawà:ke Gaming Commission was established in 1996 and has regulated online gaming since 1999.
The regulator is one of the longest-serving online gambling licensing authorities and oversees a range of gaming operators through its licensing and compliance framework.
