Adelaide v Western Bulldogs betting for March 20

Welcome to our Adelaide v Western Bulldogs betting tips and winner prediction for their AFL round 2 clash at the Adelaide Oval on Friday night.

The Crows-Bulldogs clash has been priced at almost even money, with both clubs at $1.90, while the line has been set at just .5 of a point by leading Australian betting sites

Adelaide is fresh off a hard-fought victory over Collingwood in Melbourne, which was set up by their dominant key forwards, who took advantage of an undermanned Pies backline.

The Crows would also be pleased with their midfield, which probably shaded the Magpies, with their best players all putting in a consistent performance.

Adelaide will be boosted by the inclusion of star small Izak Rankine after he completed his suspension for a homophobic comment directed at a Collingwood player late last year.

The Bulldogs’ opening two matches have been superb, with Luke Beveridge’s team 2-0, and seemingly in premiership contention, with their stacked midfield and towering key forwards.

The Dogs narrowly defeated Brisbane in their season opener and then thrashed GWS in their second match, although their opponent was undermanned and had various injuries throughout the clash.

Skipper Marcus Bontempelli has been in Brownlow Medal-worthy form, while towering key forward Sam Darcy is yet to fire, in an ominous sign for the competition.

Adelaide v Western Bulldogs betting tips

The World Gambling List’s AFL betting expert has assessed the markets and found some value Adelaide v Western Bulldogs tips:

Izak Rankine 2+ goals

The Crows small forward was sorely missed in the finals campaign last year and owes his club a big season. Rankine will spend time in the midfield, but will play forward most of the time. His ability to find goals in clutch moments is becoming legendary. Expect him to fire first-up in front of his home crowd under the Friday night lights.

Ed Richards 100+ supercoach points

Richards, the grandson of  Collingwood legend Ron Richards, may not have been prolific in the Dogs’ win over GWS, but it was a professional performance with all aspects of his game on show. Given Richards two-way running ability, knack of kicking goals and prolific tendencies he’s a great option in Supercoach or Fantasy points betting, with major bookies like Neds, Ladbrokes and Sportsbet featuring these types of markets.

Tribet – Either team to win by less than 15 points

We just can’t see this clash being a blowout and we love anchoring our multis with a tri-bet, when the match-up calls for it. EIther team to win by under 15.5 points looks about right for this clash between two top four contenders. This option is paying 1.95 with NextBet.

Adelaide v Western Bulldogs prediction

This match is arguably shaping as the match of the round, with both of these teams fancied to push deep into September and well regarded by betting sites. The Crows forward line is exceptional, but it’s their backline that looms as the key to this clash, with Nick Murray and Jordan Butts set to take on Darcy and Aaron Naughton. If the Crows backline can subdue those two, it will go a long way to winning. The Bulldogs have not missed a beat in 2026, with their stars playing well and much like Adelaide if their backline can hold firm, they will be confident of victory. Our final Crows v Bulldogs prediction? Crows to cash in on their home ground advantage.
