Welcome to our Adelaide Strikers v Hobart Hurricanes betting tips, prediction and odds update for their BBL clash at Blundstone Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Strikers are short-priced favourites to win this clash at $1.69 with the Hurricanes paying $2.17 to notch up their second victory of the season.

The Strikers are yet to play in this Big Bash League season but loom as one of the teams to beat for the title.  The Hurricanes won their opening fixture on Thursday night when they defeated the Sydney Sixers.

The Hurricanes’ win was spearheaded by Singaporean International Tim David, who blasted 58 off 33 balls, while South African Colin Ingram was also instrumental (55 off 42). James Faulkner (2-22) was magnificent with the ball and looms as a key to their chances of progressing deep into the BBL.

Strikers v Hurricanes tips

Our cricket expert has cast his eye over the betting markets and found some value Strikers v Hurricanes tips.

Rashid Khan most wickets for Adelaide

Rashid Khan has taken 56 wickets in 40 matches in the Big Bash League at the great strike rate of 16.6. He is also one of the most economical bowlers in the T20 comp, going for just 6.37 runs per over. Khan is paying $3.10 to top the Strikers wicket-takers in this game, which is a conservative but smart tip. PlayUp is also offering $8 on Khan being man of the match.

Peter Handscomb to top score for Hobart

Hurricanes captain Peter Handscomb bats at no.4 and has several dashers ahead of him that can throw their wickets away cheaply. The most reliable batsman in the team has an important role anchoring those middle overs, but will be keen to go at a better clip than his 24 (20) in their opening match. The former Stars player is paying $4.50 to top score for the Hurricanes, while first game hero Tim David is paying a juicy $11 at the best cricket betting sites

Adelaide Strikers v Hobart Hurricanes prediction 13/12/2020

Adelaide have been backed heavily for this game and we just can’t see the Hurricanes scoring enough runs to be a serious threat. The Strikers spinners Khan and Briggs are going to be exceptionally tough to score off, while recruit Matt Renshaw will add some starch to the top order, that has lost experienced hitter White. In the end, the Strikers just look to have too much class at this point of the season. Our final Strikers v Hurricanes prediction? Strikers by 45 runs or six wickets.
