Sydney Roosters v Penrith predictions, betting tips and odds update for their round-21 clash at…
Welcome to our New South Wales v Queensland betting tips and winner prediction for Origin III taking place at Accor Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Blues have been installed overwhelming favourites at $1.40 by Australian betting sites, but the Maroons ($3) have momentum on their side after winning Origin II.
Queensland captain Cameron Munster is expected to play despite the sudden death of his father, with the star five-eighth a big reason the Maroons levelled the series 1-1 in Perth a fortnight ago.
The Maroons could also pull a selection surprise with fullback Reece Walsh the 18th man in the squad, with a late call-up not out of the question after brilliant form for the Broncos in recent weeks.
The Blues have injury concerns of their own with powerhouse Broncos prop Payne Haas, Penrith Panthers star Brian To’o and Storm front-rower Stefano Utoikamanu all in doubt for the clash. If Haas and Utoikamanu can’t front up it leaves a gaping hole considering the Blues are already without tough prop Mitch Barnett.
While Blues coaching staff remain bullish on all three playing, they do have Canterbury winger Jacob Kiraz as their 18th man and on standby.

Our NRL betting expert has highlighted his free tips for Wednesday evening’s game.
The Queensland captain is a special player and also one who wears his heart on his sleeve. He is leading the Maroons here through personal heartbreak. We can see an emotional Munster crashing over and saluting the sky. This selection is at $5.20-plus with online betting sites.
Both sides would have been mortified with their poor defence in game two and expect this one to be a much more defensive affair. Not many people expected the 26-24 scoreline, especially in the wet in Perth. We think this one will be a traditional, down to the wire Origin. You can get $3.20-plus for this option with most Aussie bookmakers.
Anyone who has watched Origin for any length of time knows better than to write off the Maroons, even when the odds seem stacked against them. They look a little inexperienced in the centres heading into this but as always they will rise to the occasion. NSW will relish the home-ground advantage and will lean heavily on the Penrith connection to get them home. Our final NSW-Qld prediction? The Blues by 1 point.
