Brumbies v Reds betting tips, prediction & odds; Super Rugby AU week 4

Welcome to our ACT Brumbies v Queensland Reds free betting tips for the Super Rugby AU clash at GIO Stadium, Canberra, on Saturday, March 13.

This is a clash between the two 2021 heavyweights of the Australian game and a rematch of the grand final won by the Brumbies is a classic clash last season. Both teams are undefeated heading into this contest, though the Reds have played one game fewer.

The Brumbies are firm favourites to win this clash, but you can be sure whoever does win it will be a hot favourite to win the the overall Super Rugby AU title.

These teams play with contrasting styles. The Brumbies favour a forward-heavy game and are strong proponents of the rolling maul, though they are not averse to igniting a quality back line into action. The Reds have some power up front but have serious pace and power in their back line and they can score from anywhere.

The Reds have named former Melbourne storm NRL flyer  Suliasi Vunivalu for his first start. They have axed Hamish Stewart for an alcohol-related incident and paired up Wallabies Jordan Petaia and Hunter Paisami in the centres. In the forwards Wallabies lock Lukhan Salakaia-Loto returns after a two-match ban he was handed after being sent off against Argentina last season. He replaces Seru Uru, who moves back to the pine.

ACT Brumbies have lost captain Allan Alaalatoa to a three-match ban for a high shot that earned him a red card in the narrow win against the Rebels last weekend. Tom Ross is the new starting tight-head prop.

Tom Cusack comes in for openside breakaway Jahrome Brown, and Cusack has been named to captain the Brumbies in the absence of prop Alaalatoa.

Brumbies v Reds betting tips

Our rugby tipster has examined the odds and found several Brumbies v Reds tips for the round 4 Super Rugby clash.

Reds to win by 13+ points

We are all in on the Reds for this clash to cause a big upset and to do it comfortably. This option is paying a massive $6.25 with leading bookie Unibet. The Reds are fresh and their back-line looks as though it will cause all sorts of problems for the Brumbies, though check the weather on the day as rain is forecast, which could make it harder for the Reds to rack up a big score.

Suliasi Vunivalu first try-scorer at $12

The flying winger gets the full game to impress and after a rocky start to the season where he was banned for the first game, Vunivalu is ready to make his mark after his cameo in the win against the Rebels. He was a prolific try-scorer for the Storm in the NRL and watch for him to get on the board early here.

ACT Brumbies v Queensland Reds prediction 13/3/2021

The Brumbies have won four of the past five Super Rugby clashes between these teams, including in the final of this tournament last season when they triumphed 28-23. The Reds were a little unlucky that night and just look a lot more complete to us in the early rounds. They come in fresh here and could shock the perennial powerhouses of the Australian rugby scene. Our final Brumbies v Reds prediction? Reds to win comfortably.
