GGPoker set to host WSOP-C Calgary satellites
Poker players will be able to win into the upcoming World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Calgary via Satellites hosted at GGPPoker.
The Calgary WSOP-C event will be held at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino from January 7-19, 2026, with many of North America’s top poker players set to attend.
GGPoker players across Canada now have an opportunity to win their way into the $2,200 buy-in Main Event for just their entry into the satellite events, which can be as low as $50.

Managing Director of GGPoker Sarne Lightman said the Main Event satellite structure was exciting because it allowed players a shot at huge prizes for low buy-ins.
“The WSOP is coming to Calgary,” he said.
“We are delighted to give our players an exclusive, low-cost path into this fantastic event at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino.
“The Canadian poker community is one of the most passionate in the world, and we can’t wait to see our GGPoker qualifiers compete for poker glory right in the heart of Alberta. Good luck to all!”
Canadian poker pro and GGPoker ambassador Kevin Martin is one of a number of players that will attend the Calgary event.

The WSOP-C Calgary event will feature many different events with the most expensive buy-in being the $3,500 No Limit Hold’em High Roller, which kicks off on January 18, 2026.
