Greyville racing tips for Friday, April 3, 2026
Greyville Poly will play host to a seven-race card on Friday night, the second meeting of the day in South African racing. Plenty of attention will be on the opening race at Greyville, where trainer Dean Kannemeyer has the favourite with Flying Fate. Below Andrew Harrison has assessed the form and presents his free Greyville racing tips for Friday, April 3, 2026.
Race 1
HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE WELCOMES YOU MAIDEN PLATE (F & M)
FLYING FATE (3) raced green when finishing well on debut. She is sure to have improved from that effort. PEACE ROSE (2) has improved with each outing. She was narrowly beaten last time out and should be a big runner. SIYABAMBELELA (1) is holding form well and from the best of the draw must have a winning chance. VAANS SPIRIT (4) has run two promising races on the poly over further. Back to a sprint and gets 1.5kg relief.

GET YOUR BUNNY ON TRACK OPEN MAIDEN (F & M)
DREAM DECISION (5) has been runner-up in open handicaps with a light weight. Meets modest opposition and can go one better. CAN WE START (7) started favourite last run over further but faded. Switch to the poly could suit. CALI BULLET (6) was well beaten over further but has ability and can feature. QUANDURA (1) has shown some ability in SA racing and can improve with first-time tongue-tie.

MASTER DU ROUVRAY (7) is seldom far off. Big weight but goes well over course and distance. HIGH QUEUE (5) is ultra-consistent and suited to course and distance. Strong winning chance. SESAME (4) takes on the boys after a strong win under a big weight. Handicap rise is the query. THE WOLF (1) enjoys the poly and has been improving steadily.

BET WITH TOTE D STAKES
MAGIC MAVERICK (3) is improving and with a 1.5kg allowance and top rider aboard should go close. TAKEYOURBESTSHOT (4) has excellent poly form. A 4kg claimer replaces De Melo and could prove effective. CHASING GOLD (5) was a length behind her rival last time but is worse off at the weights. NATIONAL DREAM (7) is showing signs of a return to form and now gets blinkers.

JOIN THE RACE COAST TURF CLUB TODAY! D STAKES
RAGNAR THE KING (6) has dropped in the ratings and returns to a preferred surface. Value chance. MY LUCKY CHARM (7) showed promise on local debut and is down in class. Progressive. DEANDRE’S DREAM (3) was below par last start but prior poly run was encouraging. GREEN MILE (4) enjoys the poly and was not far off on handicap debut.

Race 6
IN THE BOX SEAT PODCAST CLASS 4 (F & M)
THOUGHT CONTROL (4) makes her poly debut after a solid post-maiden effort. SPIRIT OF SHIMLA (3) meets her on 1kg worse terms and there should be little between them. OKLAHOMA GIRL (2) is lightly raced and reaches peak fitness third-up. OH MY GUCCI GIRL (1) carries just 48kg after the claim and from a good draw could prove hard to catch.

LUCKY FISH FIRE STRIKE CLASS 5 (F & M)
Competitive handicap. QUEEN FENN (2) is suited to course and distance and has a good draw. GRUE OF ICE (6) is ultra-consistent and gets a useful apprentice claim. TIME IN PARIS (10) is improving and the 4kg claim could prove decisive. RHAFEEF’S CHOICE (7) has been improving and was narrowly beaten last start.

HOLLYWOODBETS BRIGHT FUTURE CLASS 4 (F & M)
CATCH A PENNY (4) has solid Cape form and was narrowly beaten last start. MAGICAL SKY (1) has won her last two over course and distance and can go again. SUMMER WINTER (2) is seldom far off and may have needed her last run. RUBY RISING (7) is third-up and was close last time. Strong chance and should be well-priced at ZAR betting sites.
