This is a match between two teams whose seasons seem to be headed in opposite directions. The Hurricanes have been strong from the start of the season and seem to have the knack for getting over the line in close games, while the Stars started brilliantly but have been outplayed in their past couple of matches and are in danger of losing touch with the leading teams.
Leading bookie Unibet has made the Stars the $1.75 favourites but we think they have it wrong and would much rather be on the home team at $2.05.
Both teams have something of a bowling crisis heading into this match. The Stars have lost Nathan Coulter-Nile (calf) for up to three weeks, while top-notch leg-spinner Adam Zampa is suspended for this game.

Zampa was fined $2500 and banned for one match for an audible obscenity in the match against Sydney Thunder.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes are still without left-arm paceman James Faulkner (hamstring), while West Indian Keemo Paul limped off on Wednesday night during their thrilling win against the Brisbane Heat.
On the positive side for the Hurricanes, Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is expected to be available for this clash after his arrival was delayed by a bout of Covid-19.
Given the Stars collapsed against the spin of Chris Green and Tanveer Sangha against the Thunder in their latest outing, Lamichhane could cause plenty of problems with his special brand of wizardry.
