MGA cancels Winzon Group’s license after multiple regulatory breaches
The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has cancelled the operating licence of Winzon Group Limited, effective March 11 2026, citing multiple regulatory breaches and outstanding financial obligations.
The licence, issued under reference MGA/B2C/717/2019, covered several online casino brands operated by the group, including Mr Luck, 1ClickWin, 777Stakes and VIPSpel. The cancellation forms part of the regulator’s enforcement action under Malta’s Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations.

Under the directive, Winzon must notify all players of the licence termination, refund outstanding balances, and submit transaction reports verifying that all player funds have been returned. The operator has also been instructed to remove any reference to its MGA authorisation and ensure player data is processed in line with applicable data protection laws.
The company owes €46,693.23 in outstanding licence fees and compliance contributions, while administrative penalties totalling €147,080 have also been imposed.
Despite the revocation, references to third-party platform providers and licensing arrangements remain visible on the group’s online casinos, highlighting potential inconsistencies during the transition period.
Mr Luck, launched in 2020 by Winzon Group, for instance still has MGA licensing information visible across their website on April 9, while they are accepting sign ups from places like Australia, which would be a breach of their licensing agreement, with gambling sites banned there.
The MGA said the company remains liable for all obligations and warned further legal action may follow if outstanding dues are not settled.
