South Africa v England 2nd T20 tips, predictions & odds

South Africa and England clash in the third and deciding T20 International of a three-match series at Centurion on Sunday, February 16.
Bookmakers have made England $1.57 favourites to win the match and claim the series as they attempt to finish their tour of South Africa on a high note.
England won the Test series 3-1, the ODI leg was a 1-1 draw and we are poised at 1-1 in the T20 contests. There is not much between these sides in limited-over cricket!

This match will be hard-pressed to live up to Friday’s fantastic contest, which finished with South Africa losing wickets off the last two balls to fall agonisingly short. Tom Curran was the bowler and held his nerve superbly under intense pressure.
The weather forecast looks good for Centurion and we expect another absorbing battle, with South African captain Quinton de Kock in blistering form and on the verge of lifting his team to a morale-boosting series win.
“It is great cricket,’’ De Kock told Reuters. “Both teams are playing really good cricket. They came out and fought right to the end and unfortunately we didn’t come across the line. They bowled really well at the death. We can get better.’’
England have of course regained powerhouse all-rounder Ben Stokes for the T20s and he will be better for the run after being less than fluent in his unbeaten knock on Friday.

South Africa v England 3rd Twenty20 betting tips

For all you need to know check out our extensive guides to cricket betting. As with all our match previews we attempt to sort out a couple of value bets from the many on offer.

Quinton de Kock man of the match at $8

How can we go past the dashing left-hander after his magnificent summer? We will be one him to be leading run-scorer as well as to be named man of the match simply because he seems to have relished the responsibility of being captain and has been outstanding in the ODIs and T20s. Always in the game. Though it also should be mentioned that Rassie van der Dussen has played well at this ground in the most recent T20s here.

Adil Rashid most wickets for England

The leggie has bowled well in the limited-overs action and his style of bowling has done reasonably well at this ground. He is due and when his partner in crime Moeen Ali is playing well, Rashid usually joins the party. Those two will have a big role in deciding the outcome of this game and the series.

South Africa v England predictions – 3rd T20, Feb 16, 2020

Of course, a series victory is important here but really it’s just another T20 as we count down to the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later this year. Both teams will want bragging rights. We expect another batsman-dominated match and England really should prevail given their powerful batting line-up. But this Proteas team has shown real steel in the limited-over matches so we will try them at the $2.38 given it looks much closer to an even money bet than that. Good punting.
