These teams met for the first time this tournament at Adelaide Oval on Monday, with the Strikers winning by five wickets in the final match of the season for star Afghan spinner Rashid Khan.
As always Khan was a key player; his dismissal of Stars superstar Glenn Maxwell first ball was a huge setback as the Stars batted first and were restricted to 7-149.

The Strikers had few difficulties hauling in that total, and now the season is pretty much on the line for the highly rated Stars, who have lost five of their past six matches.
The Stars’ problem has not been entirely in scoring runs; more that they have been too easy to score against. Star all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who has run into great form with the bat as opener, is ready to bowl again for this match and that could help as he is generally a clever medium-pacer and hard to hit.
The Strikers hope to regain paceman Peter Siddle, who missed the clash on Monday because of a fractured thumb on his non-bowling hand.
This match is huge for both teams. A win to the Stars and they could draw level on points with the fourth-placed Strikers. A loss, and it’s probably curtains for BBL10 for Glenn Maxwell’s team.

The Stars have not been great head to head but they are still one of the real power-hitting teams of the competition thanks to the likes of Stoinis and Maxwell.
