MGM Resorts and Major League Baseball renew partnership

MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have extended their long-running partnerships with Major League Baseball in a multi-year renewal that further strengthens ties between one of the world’s biggest gaming operators and North America’s premier baseball competition.

The renewed agreements will see MGM Resorts continue as MLB’s exclusive integrated resort and casino partner, while BetMGM remains an official gaming and sports betting partner of the league. The partnership dates back to 2018, when MGM Resorts and BetMGM became MLB’s first official partners in the rapidly expanding regulated sports betting sector.

The extension ensures MGM Resorts will continue to play a central role in delivering fan experiences tied to major baseball events, including the ongoing development of MLB Awards Week in Las Vegas and other league events designed to promote the sport’s biggest stars.

MGM Resorts Senior Vice President of Sports & Sponsorships Lance Evans said the renewed agreement aligns with the company’s long-term ambitions in sports and entertainment.

“As Major League Baseball continues to evolve, we’re pleased to extend a partnership that aligns with our long-term vision for global sports and entertainment,” Evans said.

“From Las Vegas and throughout the world, we’re focused on providing premium experiences that connect sports with hospitality.”

Under the new deal, BetMGM will continue marketing its sportsbook and gaming products across MLB-owned media channels including MLB Network, MLB.com and the league’s broader digital portfolio, targeting baseball fans across the United States and Canada.

The operator will also retain sponsorship integrations across MLB content streamed on Apple TV and continue developing co-branded MLB-themed casino games on its digital casino platform.

BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said the MLB partnership remains central to the company’s strategy of expanding their footprint in the USA and Canada.

“Major League Baseball offers one of the most engaging, data-rich experiences in sports, and this renewal underscores our shared commitment to innovation, integrity, and responsibility,” Prevost said.

“Together, we’re enhancing how fans experience the game, from defining moments on the field to legendary experiences at marquee events like MLB All-Star Week.”

Responsible gambling remains a key pillar of the partnership, with MGM Resorts and BetMGM continuing to promote safer gambling initiatives including GameSense, a responsible gaming program licensed to MGM Resorts by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.

BetMGM said its responsible gambling framework also includes anti-athlete harassment protections aimed at supporting sports integrity and player safety amid ongoing concerns around gambling-related abuse directed at athletes.

MLB Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Partnerships Uzma Rawn Dowler said the league values the long-standing relationship.

“MGM Resorts and BetMGM have been great partners to Baseball for nearly a decade,” Dowler said.

“We’re excited to continue our relationship and together help create more unique experiences for our fans.”

Beyond the league-wide deal, MGM Resorts and BetMGM also maintain partnerships with several MLB franchises, including the Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals.
