Collingwood v Fremantle betting tips - AFL round 19 2025

Welcome to our Collingwood v Fremantle betting tips and winner prediction for their AFL round 19 clash at the MCG on Sunday.

The Magpies are a $1.30 favourite to extend their lead at the top of the AFL ladder and defeat the Dockers ($3.50). The line has been set at 20.5 points by Australian betting sites

Craig McRae’s team will be smarting after just their third loss of 2025 after they failed to reel in Gold Coast in a frantic final term. They will be boosted by several stars for this contest with Brodie Mihocek, Beau McReery and Pat Lipinski; while Ed Allen and Charlie Dean have also earned recalls.

The Magpies have lost important defenders Jeremy Howe and Dan Houston, while Tim Membrey, Roan Steele and Tom Mitchell have also been excluded.

The Dockers have made just the one change to the team that defeated Hawthorn, with star midfielder Hayden Young slotting into the line-up after overcoming a hamstring injury, in the place of Isaiah Dudley.

Fremantle desperately need a win here with the four points putting them effectively two wins ahead of ninth-placed Western Bulldogs, who were beaten by the Lions on Friday night.

Collingwood v Fremantle betting tips

Our AFL betting expert has cast their eye over the odd sand found some value Collingwood v Fremantle tips:

Under 162.5 points

The Magpies have given up the fewest points in the AFL season, and even though they are missing key planks Jeremy Howe and Billy Frampton, we cannot see this clash becoming a shootout. Take the unders in the over/under market at $1.88 with Neds.

Jack Crisp 20+ possessions

Unsurprisingly the Magpies have “managed” Tom Mitchell despite the Brownlow Medal winner being very serviceable in his two matches back from a long term injury. We just don’t think Mitchell and Ned Long can both play in the same midfield, when it impacts the midfield minutes of a runner, like Jack Crisp. Crisp is paying a juicy $2.10 to reach 20 possessions.

Nick Daicos 25+ possessions

The younger Daicos has fallen to the third line of possesions betting this week. He’s only at $1.38 to gather 25 possessions but we’ll have this leg in our multis. We’re wary of Serong and Brayshaw this week, given one might be tasked with minding Daicos. Always consider Josh Daicos as well, given his hot run of form.

Collingwood v Fremantle prediction

Fremantle is not renowned for travelling to the MCG and winning, but they will feel like they can challenge the Magpies here. We’re expecting a hard-fought, low-scoring slog with the Magpies third quarter being the difference. The Magpies line-up looks more balanced this week, with Mitchell out of the team, and great run via McReery and Lipinski included. Our final Collingwood v Fremantle prediction? Magpies by nine points.
