Roosters v Knights betting tips, prediction and odds; NRL Rd 19 preview
Here we look at Sydney Roosters v Newcastle Knights betting tips, prediction and odds update…
This is clearly the best match-up of NRL round 11 and features two teams who we fully expect to make the preliminary finals at least this season.
Craig Fitzgibbon’s quality Sharks line-up seems somewhat underrated in 2025 and they comfortably took care of fellow finals contenders Manly last weekend on the Sea Eagles’ home turf to make it four wins in their past five games.
The Sharks have plenty of strike power in the backs, and a tough pack that also brings plenty of tackle-busting capability.
They will have to step it up a notch this weekend against a Storm teaming coming off an astonishing 64-0 win against the Wests Tigers, who had up until that match been putting together a useful season.
The Storm have been rated at less than $3 to win the premiership this season with many bookies, which we think is much too short to even consider, while the Sharks will be a lot shorter than $9 if they can impress again this round and overcome the Storm.
The Sharks will miss industrious front-rower Tom Hazelton (sternum), but they do regain power runner Sifa Talakai after a concussion. Oregon Kaufusi is back in the starting side to fill Hazelton’s spot.
There is a big late watch on the Melbourne team with the Storm’s brilliant hooker and captain Harry Grant named in the reserves. He could be a late in after a hamstring injury and would likely tilt the match in the Storm’s favour.

Our NRL betting expert has highlighted his free tips for Saturday night’s game.
The Sharks winger is incredibly athletic and a huge crowd favourite. He has scored 37 tries in 35 games at this venue and it will be no surprise to see him add another here.
Cronulla are a daunting proposition on their home turf even for a top-notch Storm side. We feel this is close to a 50-50 game and have to go with the outsiders.
Harry Grant returning will make a difference but we are bullish on the Sharks this season so will stick with them to cause a minor upset here. Our final Sharks v Storm prediction? Sharks by 2 points.
