Gold Coast desperately need a win to stop their slide down the AFL ladder when they clash with Melbourne at the Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon.
The Suns are a $1.39 with betting sites to defeat the Demons $3.05 but Damien Hardwick’s team are no certainties having dropped their last three matches.

Our AFL betting expert has assessed the markets and found some value Gold Cost v Melbourne betting tips:
Since signing his massive new contract Pickett has been in outstanding form for the Demons and he again looms as the key to the Demons’ chances. Pickett is only paying $1.55 to kick 2+ goals, but this will be an important leg in one of our multis.
Rowell played like a man who had a weight lifted off him last weekend, with 34 possessions, and he will be bitterly disappointed with the way his team succumbed to GWS. We expect him to fire again, possibly going head to head with Melbourne’s ball magnet Clayton Oliver, and 25+ for each of them looks very doable.
The Suns star forward Ben King has an opportunity to fill his boots, with intercept king Lever out of the Demos line-up. King has had a strong season and his team desperately needs him to fire here and help them keep their top eight chances alive. He is paying $1.98 to kick 3+ goals.
If Gold Coast wants to play finals this year, they simply must account for Melbourne on Saturday. The Suns midfield has more depth, their forward line has more firepower and their finals hopes are slipping away, and a loss would make it very hard for them. We think the Demons will stay close for a half, but the Suns’ greater class will show out in the end. Our final Suns v Demons prediction? Gold Coast by 21 points.
