Richmond v St Kilda betting tips and prediction; AFL Rd 15 Preview

Richmond v St Kilda betting tips for June 25, 2021

Welcome to our Richmond v St Kilda betting tips, prediction and odds analysis ahead of their AFL round 15 clash at the MCG on Friday night.

The Tigers are a heavy favourite for this match, priced at $1.17 with betting sites to defeat the struggling Saints ($5.10), who are yet to fire a shot in 2021. The line has been set at 28.5 points which is exceptionally tempting.

Richmond were beaten by four points a fortnight ago by West Coast in Perth and were less than convincing in defeating the Crows the week prior, but they sit in eighth position and are ominously poised for a run to September.

Thursday night: Brisbane v Geelong tips

St Kilda has slumped to 13th on the AFL ladder but have had a fortnight off since their horrible loss to Adelaide, which was marked by Tim Membrey and Seb Ross missing the clash, for personal reasons. They desperately need a victory to get the blowtorch off coach Brett Ratten and underperforming stars like Bradley Hill.

The Tigers will be boosted by the return of defender David Astbury and midfielder Dion Prestia for this clash, but they will again be without gun spearhead Tom Lynch (knee), who is at least a fortnight away.

The Saints could be boosted by young ruck-forward Rowan Marshall who has been training strongly after a foot injury, while James Frawley, Shaun McKernan and Daniel McKenzie are in contention. Overall though the Saints’ horrible injury woes are not improving, with the likes of Hunter Clark, Jarryn Geary, Jade Gresham, Dan Hannebery and Zak Jones on the sidelines.

The AFL has also announced crowds will return to Victorian matches this weekend, meaning there can be up to 25,000 attend this clash between the Saints and Tigers.

Richmond v St Kilda tips

Our AFL betting expert has assessed the markets and found some value Richmond v St Kilda tips:

Jack Riewoldt to kick 3+ goals

The Tigers veteran Jack Riewoldt is exceptionally consistent and tends to lift when his partner in crime Tom Lynch is absent, like this week. Riewoldt is marking well and will be the main man this week, with support coming from youngster Callum Coleman-Jones. He is paying $1.72 to kick 3+ goals, which is nice value, but keep an eye on the Victorian weather and abandon this tip if it’s wet. Dustin Martin and Shai Bolton are both offering nice value if you would prefer a small interest.

Richmond -28.5 in line betting

It’s that time of the year when the Tigers begin their charge towards September and they will be doing it against a depleted Saints. There is no excuse for the Tigers here and the 28.5 line should be in their sights and we’ll be jumping on at $2 with TopSport

Richmond v St Kilda prediction 25/6/2021

Things have just not gone to script for St Kilda after they were one of the teams expected to push for a top four position, following last year’s efforts. Injuries, form problems and a lack of polish has seen them fall out of finals calculations and we think they’re gone in 2021. Richmond has hardly set the world on fire, but we have learnt the hard way not to write them off and they have almost a clean bill of health. If the Saints aren’t careful this could get ugly, quickly. Our final Richmond v St Kilda prediction? Tigers by 42.
