Welcome to our Brisbane Heat v Adelaide Strikers betting tips, winner prediction and odds analysis for Game 13 of the 2020-21 Big Bash League at the Gabba in Brisbane on Wednesday, December 23.

This is the first match to be played outside of hubs in Tasmania and Canberra, and is a must-win match for the Heat, who are sitting last on the table with no wins from two matches.

The highly fancied Strikers also can’t afford to drop another game after they were easily contained against the impressive Sydney Sixers in Hobart on Sunday night. Now the Striker, who have won only one of their first three games, must back up just two days after that match and also handle the trip to Brisbane in between.

Adelaide are rated $1.70 favourites with leading international bookies, while the Heat are at around $2.15, an indictment of their poor form given they are playing on home soil.

Both teams are missing players through Test commitments and do not seem to have an white knights waiting to race in an transform their seasons.

Strikers seam bowlers Dan Worrall, Wes Agar and Peter Siddle have been in great form, while Rashid Khan, who suffered a nasty blow to the shoulder while batting against the Sixers, will be glad to see if he can get more assistance from the pitches outside Tasmania.

But the Strikers need to find a big score from one of their top five; they were cruising towards victory against the Sixers but when the opening partnership of Phil Salt and Jake Weatherald was broken they collapsed in alarming fashion.

Meanwhile, the winless Heat have had more time to prepare at home and will be hoping the change of surrounds will help them regain top form.

The Heat are out to around $17 and they have clearly been the most disappointing team of recent season.
