Netball World Cup 2019 final odds, analysis and best bets

Netball World Cup odds and betting analysis

New Zealand’s stunning upset of the home team England, forecast by the WGL team, has set up the old trans-Tasman clash in the final of the Netball World Cup.
Australia, who are aiming for an astonishing 12th title with victory over the Silver Ferns, are short-priced favourites with sportsbooks, but there is never much between these two powerhouses of international netball.
NZ beat England 47-45 in the second semi-final at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, at generous odds north of $3.80.
This will be sixth World Cup final in a row between these great rivals, with Australia looking for a fourth successive crown.

Australia beat the Kiwis 50-49 in Thursday’s group stage match, and then won their semi-final 55-53 against South Africa when they used many of their reserve players in the first half.
The Silver Ferns boast a hugely experienced line-up and coach Noeline Taurua said they enjoyed the underdog status heading into the final.
“We’ve got one more game to go to get the gold and that’s what we’re going for,’’ she told AAP.
“We’ve already won in some respects [just reaching the final]. There’s nothing else for us to worry about.”

Best bet: Netball World Cup

Caitlin Bassett for MVP at $7.50

The Australian captain will be jumping out off her skin after being rested for the entire semi-final.

New Zealand +4.5 points at $1.90
The Silver Ferns are a battle-hardened unit and took down the red-hot England. We can see Australia winning but don’t think it will be by much. You could also combine this bet with the under 100-point match total as we think it will be a tight a relatively low-scoring affair.
