South Africa v England 3rd Twenty20: betting tips, prediction & odds

South Africa v Sri Lanka betting tips and prediction; 2nd Test preview 2021

Welcome to our South Africa v England betting tips, winner prediction and odds analysis for the third Twenty20 International at Newlands, Cape Town, on Tuesday.

England sealed the series with another narrow win on a tricky pitch at Paarl on Sunday, so we head back to Newlands for the final match of the T20 leg of England’s tour.

For South Africa it’s a chance to save face and also to get a win on the board before the switch to the ODI format on Friday, a form of the game in which England are the world champions.

The clash in Paarl was tight, but Dawid Malan stood up with a well-time half-century when no other batsman exceeded 30 runs.

The pitch lent great assistance to the spinners, with the likes of Tabraiz Shamsi for the home team and Adil Rashid for England proving a real handful. That may not be the case back at Newlands, although left-arm spinner George Linde performed well on debut at the ground last Friday.

The teams are likely to head into this match unchanged, although England opener Jason Roy is sadly out of touch and his frailties against spin are certain to be tested again. South Africa have opened the bowling with Linde with success in this series.

South Africa v England betting tips

Our cricket tipsters have examined the odds and found several Proteas v England tips for Tuesday’s T20 International.

Jason Roy man of the match

Roy is a prickly sort of character and he will not have enjoyed his lack of cricket and poor form of late. He is not the retiring type at the crease though, so expect Roy to come out swinging in this final T20 with the series safely in England’s keeping. All it will take is to hit a couple out of the middle and to the fence and he will back in business. We will take the punt that this is the match where he rediscovers the magic that has made him such a key part of the England limited-overs set-up in the past few years,

Jofra Archer top wicket-taker for England

The lanky speedster bowled beautifully in Paarl without a lot of luck and the Newlands pitch should offer more assistance. Archer has developed into one of the world’s finest bowlers in the short forms, as well as a devastating weapon in Test matches. There’s never a dull moment when Archer is loping in to bowl.

South Africa v England prediction 1/12/2020

We have tipped the home team repeatedly but they just have not been able to put enough runs on the board. The Proteas could possibly be suited by batting second and knowing what they have to do but that is in the lap of the gods. We don’t think England have played near their best as yet but they can play with real freedom here and we expect the like of Roy to enjoy that immensely. Our final South Africa v England prediction: England to make it a clean sweep. They have found the knack of winning even when down on form.
