Malta Gaming Authority showcases changes at ICE Barcelona
Malta is rolling out a unified presence at this year’s ICE Barcelona, spotlighting its gaming jurisdiction through a fresh, coordinated concept that reflects how the island nation’s ecosystem operates in practice.
Under the Make it in Malta banner, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) will be joined at the event by key national partners — GamingMalta, Identità, Malta Enterprise and Bank of Valletta — to present a fully integrated showcase of Malta’s gaming sector.
The initiative aims to highlight how licensing and regulation, investment support, visa and identity services, and banking infrastructure come together within one of the industry’s most established jurisdictions.
MGA CEO Charles Mizzi said the unified stand reinforces Malta’s ongoing appeal.
“Our aim is to continue positioning Malta as the jurisdiction of choice for operators who value stability, clarity and long‑term partnership,” he said.
“Through this coordinated presence, we are demonstrating the strength of our ecosystem and our commitment to supporting sustainable growth across the industry.”
ICE Barcelona is one of the world’s premier iGaming and technology exhibitions, drawing operators, suppliers, regulators, service providers and investors from across the globe.
The three‑day event, running from January 19-21 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, features cutting‑edge product launches, expert panels and networking opportunities. ICE 2026 is expected to welcome more than 63,000 visitors, 589 global exhibitors, 294 verified regulators and 196 speakers representing 186 countries — making it a central hub for industry trends and strategic deal‑making.
Throughout the conference, Malta’s delegation will be engaging with industry stakeholders, sharing insights into regulatory and commercial developments, and underscoring initiatives that reinforce its position as a resilient and forward‑looking gaming jurisdiction.
