Malta Gaming Authority issues warning about Dragonia Casino
The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a public warning against two online gambling websites falsely claiming to be licensed by the regulator.
The Authority confirmed it has no connection with the domains https://dragonia-de.de/ and https://dragonia-casino.at/, stating that any references to MGA licences on those sites are “false and misleading.”
The alert forms part of the regulator’s ongoing efforts to clamp down on unlicensed operators attempting to target players by misrepresenting their credentials. The MGA reiterated that only operators listed on its official register are authorised to provide regulated gaming services under its framework.
Consumers have been urged to verify the licensing status of any gambling operator before engaging with its services. The Authority noted that licensed operators must meet strict legal and regulatory requirements designed to protect players, including safeguards around fair play, player funds and responsible gambling.
By contrast, unlicensed online casinos operate outside these controls, increasing the risk of financial loss and lack of recourse for affected users.
The MGA maintains a publicly accessible list of approved operators on its website, or you can learn more about Malta online gambling and the laws surrounding it in our extensive guide.
