AFL round 7 fixture and odds update

AFL round 7 odds 2022

Richmond will begin favourite with Australian online bookmakers for their clash against West Coast on Friday night at Optus Stadium.

The Tigers may have been the modern powerhouse but have slumped to 2-4 after six rounds, and now face a tricky clash against the 17th-placed Eagles.

The Eagles are due to get several stars back from injury, but appear to already be out of finals calculations, particularly if they lose this clash against Richmond.

Richmond ($1.56) will carry the weight of the bookies against the West Coast ($2.45), with this price set to come in even further if Tigers’ talisman and Brownlow Medallist Dustin Martin returns from his self-imposed exile.

Geelong ($1.42) will host the much-improved Fremantle ($2.89) in the early game on Saturday, and will be confident of taking their record to 5-2 after seven rounds.

Adelaide ($1.65 with AU betting sites) is remarkably the favourite to defeat GWS ($2.24), despite the Sydney club, which has just one win, showing some promising signs against St Kilda.

Melbourne ($1.15) is at a short price to defeat Hawthorn ($5.50) and keep their undefeated start to the season alive.

St Kilda is seeking a sixth consecutive win as they look to consolidate their top four position against Port Adelaide, with this task complicated by the match being played in Queensland.

The final game on Saturday will see Carlton ($1.23) host North Melbourne ($4.20), with the Blues desperate to get their season back on track, after a mixed start under new coach Michael Voss.

Collingwood ($1.39) will open Sunday’s games with their clash against Gold Coast ($3.04) at the MCG, with the Magpies attempting to take their record to 4-3 after seven rounds.

Western Bulldogs ($1.40) are seeking a third win for the year, when they host the 16th-placed Essendon ($2.96), after they were dismissed by the Magpies on ANZAC Day.

Sydney ($1.81) will begin a narrow favourite against Brisbane ($2.04) in the final match of AFL round 7,  with this clash looming as a belter, between two teams both pushing for top four positions.
