Setka Cup tips, predictions and odds; May 21 table tennis preview

Welcome to Setka Cup tips, picks and predictions for Saturday, April 11, 2020. Below are today’s best bets for the Ukraine-based table tennis competition and we have found some nice value.

The Setka Cup has drawn great interest following most professional sports being shut down because of the covid-19 crisis gripping the world.

GUIDE: Best table tennis betting sites

Table tennis betting, like all sports betting, is best served by using smart staking plans and understanding the matches you are betting on. Table tennis in general will throw up few surprises, which is why it’s important to understand the nuances that could lead to an upset.

Here are our free tips for today’s Setka Cup matches:

For your parlays: Vladislave Gorelov v Mikhail Voronin tip

Mikhail Voronin (1.62 with Betway) is a heavy favourite to defeat Vladislav Gorelov (2.25) with the pair meeting for the first time. Voronin has been dominant the last three times he has taken the court and we are tipping this form will continue here. Add Voronin to your parlays with confidence.

Setka Cup best bet tip: Oleksandr Melashenko to beat Valerii Subota

Melashenko will go into this match as a rank outsider, but we’re willing to jump on board given he almost rolled Subota earlier in the Setka Cup. Last outing Subota escaped with the win 11-8 in the fifth set, but we think Melashenko can turn the tables here. Melashenko is a 2.40 chance with Betway, while Valerii is too short for our tastes at 1.52.

Vadym Bochovsky v Leonic Boiko prediction

Overall Leonid Boiko has a strong winning record against Vadym Bochkovsky, but the latter won the all important last encounter in convincing fashion — in fact we’re willing to bet on him to get it done again at home. Boiko (1.72 favourite) fell in a hole after winning the first set in their last encounter on March 25, succumbing 3-11 in four sets, with Bochkovsky’s temperament proving to be the difference. We think the 2.05 on offer for a Bochkovsky victory here is just too generous in a 50-50 battle.
