Heat v Renegades betting tips, prediction & odds; BBL match 39 Preview

Welcome to our Brisbane Heat v Melbourne Renegades betting tips, winner prediction and odds analysis for Game 39 of the 2020-21 Big Bash League at Manuka Oval, Canberra, on Thursday, January 14.
This is the first time these two teams have met this season and was due to be played in Melbourne but i has been shifted to Canberra because of changing border protocols.
The Renegades ended a horror seven-match losing streak with a win in their most recent game against the Strikers but the hero of that win, Mohammad Nabi, has departed to join the Afghanistan national team for a one-day series against Ireland.

The Heat have also lost their Afghan star, mystery spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman, to that series and he has been their outstanding bowler for much of this season. They are expected to gain South African great Morne Morkel at last for this match but not too much can be expected as he is making his first start of the season and at 36 is also returning from ankle surgery.
The Heat’s surge back into finals contention hit a snag with a loss to the Sixers in their most recent outing but a win here could move them up to fifth place. A loss could just about kill off their dreams of making the BBL finals this season.

Heat v Renegades betting tips
Our cricket tipsters have examined the odds and found several Heat v Renegades tips for Thursday night’s BBL clash.
Shaun Marsh top-scorer for the Renegades
The veteran left-hander has missed a couple of games on parental leave after the birth of his third child. But Marsh is the sort of player who will be better for the break rather than rusty. He is a very experienced batsman, and Gades captain Aaron Finch has not been in good touch, so Marsh might be left to anchor the innings.
Peter Hatzoglou leading wicket taker for Gadess
The rising leggie will test the Heat batsmen and Hatzoglou bowls with real energy. Spinners have done well for much of this series and we expect that to remain the same here. It would be no surprise for the Heat to include left-arm wrist spinner Matthew Kuhnemann to offer a point of difference.
Heat v Renegades prediction 14/1/2021
The Renegades are out of the running to make the finals and it has been a disastrous campaign for them, with only an incredible knock from Nabi finally ending their run of outs. They will always be dangerous with Marsh and Finch at the top of the order, but the Heat have too much at stake here. The Brisbane team can be brittle in the top order, but having Lynn there is reassuring as he has been good since his return from a hamstring injury. Our final Heat v Renegades prediction: Heat to prove too strong.
