India firm in T20 World Cup betting after Netherlands victory
India has kept its perfect record at the T20 World Cup alive, with a victory over the Netherlands, which has seen their odds slashed to 2.00 to win their home tournament.
The co-hosts and defending champions secured a 17-run win in Ahmedabad, overcoming an early batting wobble to post 6-193 before restricting the Dutch to 7-176.
India had entered the tournament priced as long as 4.00, but a series of commanding performances, coupled with Australia’s unexpected struggles, has driven strong market support.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, India endured a difficult start, losing Abhishek Sharma for a third consecutive duck, while Ishan Kishan fell in unusual fashion. Further setbacks saw Tilak Varma and Suryakumar Yadav depart with India briefly under pressure.
Shivam Dube steadied the innings with a career-best 66 off 31 balls, launching a counterattack that featured four boundaries and six sixes. Hardik Pandya added late momentum as India finished with a competitive total on a sluggish surface.
The Netherlands responded aggressively but struggled to contain Varun Chakravarthy, who claimed 3-14. Dube also contributed with the ball, removing key middle-order threats.
India will now face Zimbabwe, West Indies and South Africa in the Super Eight stage, fixtures where they are expected to start as favourites as betting markets continue to tighten.
Pakistan secure Super Eight spot
Pakistan have secured their spot in the Super Eight stage of the T20 World Cup 2026 after a commanding 102-run victory over Namibia in their final Group A match in Colombo.
The win, powered by an unbeaten century from Sahibzada Farhan, ensured Pakistan became the eighth and final team to advance to the next round, joining other qualifiers such as England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
All teams in the Super Eight have also clinched automatic qualification for the 2028 T20 World Cup, with Australia, despite not qualifying for this portion of the tournament also being given direct passage into the next edition.
Pakistan’s progression now sets up a round-robin Super Eight phase, where they will compete for a place in the semi-finals of the tournament, with Sri Lanka, England and New Zealand in their group.
Pakistan next play New Zealand on Saturday with the teams paying 10.00 and 8.00 to win the T20 World Cup. There are currently no NZ v New Zealand odds available at cricket betting sites, but these should be available in the coming hours.
