Kevin Mullally named new CEO of gambling regulators association
The International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) has appointed Kevin Mullally as its first Chief Executive Officer, marking the creation of a new leadership role designed to support the organisation’s expanding global footprint.
The newly established position strengthens IAGR’s executive capacity while preserving its member-led governance model, with strategic direction continuing to be set by the Board of Trustees.
IAGR President Ben Haden said Mullally’s regulatory background and international experience made him a natural fit for the role.
“Kevin brings an extraordinary depth of regulatory experience and a global perspective that aligns perfectly with IAGR’s mission,” he said.
Mullally will oversee the execution of board-approved strategy, operational coordination, and initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing among gambling regulators. He said his priority would be supporting regulators facing increasingly complex cross-jurisdictional challenges.
“IAGR’s strength lies in its members and their willingness to work together across jurisdictions,” Mullally said.
“My focus is on supporting regulators by expanding collaboration, sharing practical solutions, and ensuring IAGR remains at the forefront of addressing the most critical regulatory issues worldwide.”
Mullally brings decades of experience across gaming regulation, public policy, and governance, including leadership roles focused on responsible gambling frameworks and illegal market oversight.
A key early focus will be IAGR2026, the association’s annual conference scheduled for October in Lima, Peru, expected to attract regulators from across global markets.
Key topics on IAGR’s radar for 2026 include the rise of prediction markets, cross-border participation and cryptocurrencies, which have added another layer to regulating the gambling industry.
