Broncos v Dolphins betting tips - NRL round 3

The National Rugby League’s 2026 season‘s round four kicks off on Thursday night with what will probably be the most watched match of the weekend as former Many Warringah legend Daly Cherry-Evans plays his first match against his old club.

The 37-year-old made the switch to the Roosters in the off-season after 352 matches for the Sea Eagles, and has had a mixed start for his new club with only one win from three matches.

It looms as a crucial match for both clubs, with Manly also making a miserable 0-2 start before a bye last weekend. The Sea Eagles are rank outsiders for this match about $2.80 but that seems extraordinarily generous give they will be fired up to make their former skipper’s return to Manly a sorry one.

But we have looked further afield for out match of the round, to the Queensand derby between the Broncos and Dolphins on Friday night.
The defending champion Broncos climbed off the canvas with their shock win against the Melbourne Storm last weekend, while the Dolphins made a statement with their 38-10 thrashing of the Sharks at Shark Park.

Broncos v Dolphins betting tips

The Broncos revived their NRL season by upstaging the Storm, and they really were desperate to get some points on the board after a couple of earlier setbacks.

They also did the right thing by fans of our WGL rugby league experts for round 3, and they gain a further boost for this clash with veteran halfback Adam Reynolds likely to return from a rib injury, though utility Billy Walters is likely to miss with a knee problem.

The Broncos are back on track but the bookies have them at rock-bottom odds of $1.52 given the Dolphins’ dazzling display. Suncorp Stadium is near enough to a home deck for the Redcliffe team and when they are up and running they can score from anywhere. The Broncs will need to step up with their defence again to hold them at bay.

The weather is expected to be hot and a little wet, but we have little doubt these teams will put on a high-octane display with no shortage of tries.
