Broncos v Bulldogs betting tips

Welcome to our Brisbane Broncos v Canterbury Bulldogs betting tips and winner prediction for their NRL round eight clash at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.

The Broncos are outsiders at 2.49 to defeat the Bulldogs (1.54) in a clash that pits ninth against tenth, with the Brisbane team having an extraordinary injury list that features 13 players.

The Broncos did defeat Wests in a gritty contest on Saturday night, but more injuries to Corey Jensen and Payne Haas have left them depleted heading into this clash.

The injured pair join Reece Walsh, Grant Anderson and Bent Hunt on the sidelines, while Pat Carrigan is suspended until round nine.

The Broncos have won seven of their last eight matches against Canterbury, but have dropped three of their last four matches at Suncorp Stadium, setting up an intriguing battle between two teams expected to play finals.

The Bulldogs will be desperate to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Parramatta last weekend, their third loss of the season.

The Bulldogs failed to mesh as a team, but the return of skipper Stephen Crichton should help with this. They do however lose Jacob Kiraz to a knee ailment, wth Jonathan Sua set to start in his place.

Broncos v Bulldogs betting tips

Our NRL betting expert has assessed the markets and found some value Broncos v Bulldogs  tips:

Connor Tracey to score a try anytime

Bulldogs fullback Connor Tracey has scored seven tries in his last six games against the Broncos. This record has come despite his team’s poor record against the Brisbane-based team. We’ll be taking to score a try anytime, with this option paying 2.75 with Australian betting sites

Canterbury Bulldogs 1-12 point winners

The Bulldogs are fitter than their opponent heading into this clash. The Broncos do, however, have young talent to burn and should not be underestimated in front of their home crowd. We do think the Bulldogs will get the job done in a close one, and taking them with a 1-12 point window to win makes sense.

Joseph Karapani to score a try

Karapani has made a huge splash since establshing himself in the Broncos line-up in the middle of last year. He’s short at 2.20 with Neds to score a try, but will be their weapon in the backs. We’ll have this in our same game multi.

Broncos v Bulldogs prediction

The Broncos are just missing too many stars for us to tip them here, with the Haas injury a major blow. Crichton returning for the Bulldogs is also a major plus for the visiting team. We’ll be backing the Bulldogs with confidence, but expect the Broncos to give fans a sniff.
