Greyville racing tips

HollywoodBets Greyville will host an eight race card on Wednesday, with this mid-week meeting set to feature some solid types. We’re particularly looking forward to Chasing Gold in the sixth race on the card, with the Glen Kotzen-trained three-year-old set to do battle with some other talented types, including the heavily backed Red Coral. The Greyville track is currently rated a good and clear skies are predicted. Below are our free Greyville racing tips for Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Race 1

QUERARISTINYFERARI (4) is knocking on the door and should go close from a good draw over a trip that suits. ROYAL CREST (11) was only a length behind her last time, while MEEKSHA (5) made a good debut behind a fair sort and should be thereabouts. MISS CHARISMA (8) made a fair debut and can improve.

Our tip: 4-11-5-8

Race 2

LUCKY FISH DIAMOND RISE MAIDEN PLATE

ROYALE JACKET (1) is a long-time maiden but should enjoy this course and distance and can go close. PRINCESS TRIPPI (3) has the form to be a contender in this line-up, while PLACE OF PRACTICE (8) has run some cracking races and should take to the poly. PUTTHELIGHTSOUT (7) has run two good races and has a chance.

Our tip: 1-3-8-7

Race 3

TOTE FOR THE WIN MAIDEN PLATE (F & M)

GIMME THE POWER (3) had some fair Cape Town form and should improve on her decent KZN debut. CHOOKS KISS (8) has a fair form chance and Lerena is up, although she must overcome a wide draw. PEACE ROSE (7) is knocking on the door and should be right there, while BLENHEIM PALACE (5) was not disgraced on debut and can improve.

Our tip: 3-8-7-5

Race 4

GOLD GOLD BABY (4) impressed when winning on her KZN debut and can follow up. PRINCESS PALACE (1) ran a cracker last time over 1600m and should appreciate this step up in trip from pole position. LA MADDALENA (7) is 0.5kg worse off with Princess Palace after beating her by 1.20 lengths last time and should enjoy the trip, but has a wide draw to overcome. PRAISE DE LA REY (8) is a maiden but ran well in a D Stakes race last time and could earn.

CHASING GOLD (3) is continually improving and can defy the handicapper again from a good draw. MISSISSIPPI SPICE (8) is in fine form and a wide draw did not bother her last time. CLOUDS CLEARING (2) has a good draw and a solid form chance, while ROY’S GRACE (9) is always thereabouts and has a chance with a 4kg claimer up despite a wide draw.

Our tip: 3-8-2-9

Race 6

TOMYRIS (3) is not the most reliable but has class and is capable of delivering a top performance on her day. SPIRIT OF SHIMLA (5) is consistent and should be in the shake-up. ICE RAIN (6) beat Tomyris narrowly last time on the same terms and now has a 2.5kg claimer up, giving her a big chance, although there is a reversal in draw fortunes. EDUCATOR (7) has some class but is unreliable and faces a tough draw.

POETIC PRINCESS (1) won well last time and has a chance off a four-point higher mark from pole position. LITTLEBLACKGEM (6) is consistent and currently sits off an attractive merit rating. CLICKBAIT (4) has good pace and, from a good draw off a handy mark, should make a bold bid. QUENTASIA (5) has come down to a nice merit rating and could make her presence felt with a low weight and a 1.5kg claimer up.

Our tip: 1-6-4-5

MASK ON (4) ran a cracker last time and can go close with a repeat. HEAVEN’S WILL (8) will be right there if repeating her latest run over this course and distance. PLEASEDTOSEEYOU (2) has the form to be a contender, while THE GLIDING FISH (3) is capable of popping up.

Our tip: 4-8-2-3
