Fennica Gaming strike deal with German state lottery

Fennica Gaming has expanded its presence in Europe after launching its first interactive games with Germany’s Lotto Baden-Württemberg, marking the supplier’s entry into one of the continent’s largest regulated lottery markets.

The agreement will see Lotto Baden-Württemberg broaden its digital offering beyond traditional online instant-win products, introducing interactive content aimed at attracting modern lottery players while maintaining strict regulatory and player protection standards.

The rollout represents a significant milestone for Fennica Gaming as it continues to grow its footprint across Europe. The company said its technology platform enabled a rapid integration process, allowing the German state lottery to quickly expand its online portfolio.

Fennica Gaming SVP of Customers and Marketing Joni Hovi described the partnership as an important step in the company’s strategic expansion plans.

“This partnership adds another major German lottery to Fennica Gaming’s growing European footprint,” she said.

“We have had good connections with Lotto Baden-Württemberg for a long time and now it led to this mutually desired outcome.”

Lotto Baden-Württemberg said the partnership would support the long-term development of its digital channels while ensuring compliance with Germany’s stringent regulatory framework.

Product Manager Instants Daniel Fischer said player protection, transparency and regulatory compliance remained key priorities as the lottery operator expands its online offering.

“With this cooperation, we are strengthening our digital portfolio and laying the foundation for continuous development across all platforms,” he said.

“Our top priority is to ensure that our offerings meet the highest standards of player protection, transparency, and regulatory compliance.

“In Fennica Gaming, we have found a strong partner who meets both our own requirements and those of our customers, enabling us to provide a secure and reliable gaming experience for the long term.”

The partnership was delivered through close collaboration between both organisations, with Fennica Gaming highlighting rapid time-to-market, straightforward integration and compliant operations as key benefits of the deal.

Sales Director Europe Marcus Bischoff said the agreement would allow both companies to deliver a modern gaming experience while meeting changing player expectations.

Lotto Baden-Württemberg is one of Germany’s largest state lottery operators, serving millions of players across the southwest of the country. The launch further strengthens Fennica Gaming’s position in the regulated lottery sector as suppliers increasingly seek growth opportunities through digital products and interactive content.
