The Dockers are fresh off strong wins over Port Adelaide and Sydney, since their surprise loss to GWS, and have been sliced into 3.40 to win the premiership.
The Dockers are set to be boosted by star midfielder Shai Bolton after he was managed against the Power, but they have lost veteran Jaegar O’Meara to an ankle injury.
The Eagles growing list of missing players worsened after their latest loss, a competitive 24-point loss to Brisbane, with co-captain Liam Baker suspended and Jack Hutchinson (hamstring) both ruled out.
The Eagles last won a derby in Harley Reid’s first clash against Fremantle in 2024, when the then 19 year old had 20 possessions and kicked three goals. While it’s hard seeing an upset this time around, with the teams at opposite ends of the ladder, there are still some opportunities for savvy punters to make a profit.

The Freo big dog has some of the stickiest hands since Stewart Loewe and looms as a handful for the struggling Eagles. Treacy will get plenty of looks, with the Dockers midfield expected to be dominant, and while he is short for 4+ goals at 2.90 (with Nextbet), we think he will play a big game.
Tim Kelly 25+ possessions
Reid might already be West Coast’s best player, but Kelly is an important mature body in their line-up, and will need to play a strong game if they are to remain comnpetitive here. The Eagles midfield outside of Reid is threadbare which means Kelly should spend plenty of time in the engine room. He is paying 2.45 to reach 25+.
Shai Bolton 2+ goals
It’s not often you get 4.75 odds on Shai Bolton to kick 2+ goals against an opponent as weak as West Coast. While this is obviously no lock, especially with Bolton’s erratic goal-kicking, the price has us interested.
Fremantle v West Coast prediction
The western derby can throw up shocking results from time-to-time, but we cannot see that being the case this time. The Dockers’ forward line is stacked, while the Eagles backline is thin, and this could lead to a blowout, especially if the purple midfield gets on top.
