Money Train 5 launches after Relax revives slot series
Relax Gaming has released Money Train 5, bringing one of online casino’s best-known modern slot franchises back after its previous instalment had been promoted as the series finale.
Money Train 4 was released in 2023 under the Last Stand banner, but Relax Gaming says player demand persuaded it to bring the franchise back.
The fifth Money Train slot officially launched on September 24.
Money Train 5 moves the series into a post-apocalyptic setting while retaining the bonus mechanics and characters that helped establish the franchise.
Three new characters — Ticket Master, Bomber and Pyromancer — have been added alongside a new Nuclear Wild feature.
Players can also choose between Standard and Ultra modes, while multiple Buy Feature options provide alternative ways of entering the game’s bonuses where the feature is permitted.
Relax Gaming Chief Product Officer Tony O’Mahony said bringing back the series had required more than simply producing another sequel.
“Money Train is undoubtedly one of our most successful franchises, so continuing the series was not a decision we took lightly,” O’Mahony said.
“The goal was to raise the bar without losing what made the slot so special.”
Relax Gaming CEO Martin Stålros described the release as a major moment for the iGaming supplier.
“Money Train has become one of the defining titles in Relax Gaming’s history, and its return is a major moment for the business,” Stålros said.
The original Money Train launched in 2019 and subsequently developed into one of Relax Gaming’s flagship slot series.
The company has also recently expanded the brand outside conventional slots through arcade-style title Money Plane.
Relax Gaming is licensed in various jurisdiction globally including the United Kingdom, Malta, Denmark, Canada (Ontario only) and some US states.
