Argentina v United States betting tips, odds, predictions – RWC 2019 Match 30

tri nations: pumas v all blacks

Welcome to our free predictions and odds update for match 30 of the Rugby World Cup between Argentina and USA at Kumagaya Rugby Stadium on Wednesday, October 9.

Argentina are red-hot favourites to win the game and say farewell to Japan 2019 in some style. The Pumas’ hopes of advancing were ended when they lost to England and France scraped in against Tonga.

The Pumas came in with high hopes but lost narrowly against France and then had their chances against England ruined by an early red card to Tomas Lavanini for a dangerous high tackle.

They will be without scrumhalf Tomas Cubelli for their final match after he was injured against England. His Jaguares teammate Gonzalo Bertranou has been brought into the squad for the final match.

Argentina v United States tips RWC2019

Argentina -21.5 points at $1.91

The Pumas have not been too far off the pace against the best teams in the group. We expect them to be a little too classy for the USA and should play with a fair amount of freedom given they can’t advance from the pool stage.

Julian Montoyo to score a try at $1.90

The Argentina hooker has already landed four tries in the tournament. A hat-trick here could put him in the mix for top try-scorer of the tournament. We don’t think that will happen but fair chance he will add at least one.

Argentina v United States prediction

USA will be competitive but their best chance of landing a win will come in their final match against Tonga. We think the Pumas can put about 40 points on them and as long as they don’t concede to many the handicap line looks good.
