NRL round 5 schedule, 2022 title odds update
The bookies have made the Eels extremely short-priced favourites, but they will face a tough task to make it seven in a row against the Titans on the Gold Coast.
While the Eels are riding high in third spot, the Titans are sitting ninth but could easily have won all their games to date this season, including the thriller against the Eels.
We see some value in backing the home team, whose best football is the equal of the top few sides though they are prone to defensive lapses.

Gold Coast regain a handy trio in Beau Fermor, Phil Sami and Isaac Liu after COVID-19 protocols, though will likely have to wait another week for the return of exciting youngster Jayden Campbell (ribs).
Parramatta, meanwhile, should be strengthened by the return of forward Shaun Lane, while Mitch Rein joins the bench, as Bryce Cartwright drops back to the reserves.

Sami is back and the centre was in rare try-scoring form before he missed the narrow win against the Tigers last week. He has scored four tries in only three matches and was a handful for the Eels first time around.

The Titans were extremely lucky to escape with the points last week against struggling Wests Tigers, but they have similarly been a little unlucky in their losses to the Eels and Raiders. They should come out flying this week at home.
