We are tipping a massive upset in this one. Why? Well, India are already safely through to the semi-finals so might drop their guard a little, and Sri Lanka almost pulled off a huge upset, pushing Australia all the way in their clash. Of course, if the Sri Lankans are to triumph, they will be led to victory by star player Chamari Atapattu. The odds of around $15 available about Atapattu being player of the match are also enticing as she is a proven performer on the big stage. Sri Lanka have three wins in 16 completed games agains India which suggests the odds of $8 are decent value.

Predictions for World Cup T20 Women’s matches – 29/2/2020

We expect a comfortable win for New Zealand as they look to set up a do-or-die group match against the hosts Australia. They are a classy outfit and are so close to breaking through against the very best opposition. They should have too much firepower. And as mentioned we are taking a swing for the bleachers in the second of the double header matches, tipping Sri Lanka for the boilover at big odds. They have been good enough so far in this tournament to suggest they will go very close. Good punting.
