Wazdan casino games now available in Finland
Casino games developer Wazdan has entered Finland through a new distribution agreement with state-owned gambling operator Veikkaus.
Announced on November 2, the agreement introduces Wazdan’s slots portfolio to Finnish players through an integration facilitated by Light & Wonder.
Wazdan commercial director Bekki D’Agata said the opportunity to enter Finland via Veikkaus was important, ahead of the rollout of a competitive iGaming scene next year.
“Finland is an important market for us, and as with every region we choose to do business in, it is crucial that we partner with the most established name in the market and gain the valuable insight that comes with it,” she said.
“We look forward to working closely with the Veikkaus team and bringing more of our high-quality content to its players.”
The initial launch includes Hot Slot: 777 Platinum Crown, Hot Slot: 777 Gold Crown and Mighty Hot: 777.
Additional titles scheduled for release include Sizzling 777 Deluxe, Mighty Crown: Legacy of Mars, Magic Fruits Deluxe and Valhalla.
The agreement comes ahead of Finland’s planned transition to a competitive online gambling market on July 1, 2027.
The reform will allow licensed private operators to offer online gambling products, ending Veikkaus’ exclusive position in parts of the market.
Veikkaus VP iCasino Riikka Seppänen welcomed the partnership, saying the supplier’s games would strengthen the operator’s existing casino offering.
“We are delighted to welcome Wazdan to the Finnish market,” she said.
“This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing a world-class gaming experience, and we are confident their titles will be a major success with our players.”
Finland has already approved upwards of 15 operators for the newly regulated market, while over 70 license applications have flowed in over the last months.
