Carlton v Western Bulldogs betting tips

Welcome to our Carlton v Western Bulldogs betting tips and winner prediction for their AFL round 10 clash at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.

The Blues are 2.42 outsiders with betting sites to defeat the Bulldogs (1.56) with former Magpie Josh Fraser to lead them for the first time, following the sacking of Michael Voss.

The Blues v Dogs line has been set at 10.5 points, with the total points over/under mark at 187.5 points.

Fraser has resisted the temptation to make wholesale changes, with the promising Jack Ison set to make his debut, with Adam Saad dropped.

The Bulldogs have received mixed news at the selection table, with Rory Lobb returning, and Louis Emmett and Sam Davidson earning a recall.

But they have lost their star ruckman Tim English and dropped Harvey Gallagher and Lachlan Smith.

Carlton v Western Bulldogs betting tips

Our AFL betting expert has assessed the markets and found some value Carlton v Western Bulldogs tips.

Patrick Cripps 25+ possessions

The Blues captain has lifted in the last fortnight and played his best game in some time against the Lions. We can’t see him dropping off under a new coach, as his team desperately tries to turn their season around. He’s also a juicy 1.88 to reach the 25+ mark.

Bontempelli and Richards 25+

The Western Bulldogs mainstays are as consistent as the day is long through the midfield. Bont has been carrying an injury but has rattled off 92 possessions in his last three matches. Richards, who also suffered an injury this season, has looked more like last year’s version in the last fortnight. They are paying 1.44 and 1.70 respectively to reach the 25 possession mark.

Rhylee West 3+ goals

West owes the World Gambling List after we’ve tipped him earlier in the season, but he has undoubtedly played better in the last fortnight with two goals in both matches. We can see him slipping under the Blues guard and kicking 3+, or even topping the goals in the match at 9.50, with the latter a very speculative but lucrative pick.

Blues v Bulldogs prediction

We have seen it so many times in the past, when a coach is sacked and the team’s performance spikes, and we would not be surprised if that happens again here. The Blues have the talent, as shown by them pushing the Lions all the way last week, but they have struggled to put four quarters together. Could this be the week? We’re going to give ourselves a bit of a safety net and take the Blues +11.5 with Neds. Our final Carlton v Bulldogs prediction? Dogs by five points.
