Circa lands major Las Vegas Athletics betting deal
Circa Resort & Casino has become the first founding partner of the Las Vegas Athletics under a multi-year casino and sports betting sponsorship agreement.
The deal makes Circa Resort & Casino and Circa Sports an official resort and sportsbook partner of both the baseball club and its new Las Vegas ballpark.
The Athletics are scheduled to begin playing at the new stadium in 2028.
Circa’s agreement gives the gambling operator an early foothold in the commercial programme surrounding the franchise’s move to Las Vegas.
Athletics President Marc Badain said Circa had already supported the club during its temporary period playing in West Sacramento.
“Circa represents so much of what makes Las Vegas special – its energy, its commitment to creating unforgettable experiences and its deep connection to the sports community,” Badain said.
“As we look toward the opening of the A’s ballpark in Las Vegas, having Circa as our first Founding Partner is an important step in bringing our vision for a uniquely Las Vegas experience to life.”
Circa Sports is a Nevada-based sportsbook operation known for its high betting limits and major football betting competitions.
The company operates sportsbooks in several US states while its flagship Circa Resort & Casino is located in downtown Las Vegas.
The partnership adds another major professional sports relationship to Nevada’s gambling industry as Las Vegas continues its transformation into a major US sporting centre.
The city is already home to the NFL’s Raiders and NHL’s Golden Knights, while the Athletics’ move will add Major League Baseball to the market.
The Athletics have been one of Major League Baseball’s most travelled franchises, beginning life in Philadelphia in 1901 before moving to Kansas City in 1955, Oakland in 1968 and now Las Vegas.
