England and Pakistan clash at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Friday night, with the England team holding a dominant record against their opponents.
From 13 previous T20 International meetings, Pakistan have won just once. And England, strongly fancied by many as title contenders, cannot afford to slip again after their shock loss to South Africa.

The England-Pakistan clash is the second match in a double-header in Canberra, with South Africa expected to easily account for Thailand in the first match.
This is the WGL’s England v Pakistan tips and odds update for the T20 World Cup Women’s clash at Manuka Oval, Canberra, on Friday, February 28.

England v Pakistan betting tips

Amy Jones top run-scorer for England

The wicketkeeper batter is an outstanding player and can be devastating early. The Canberra pitch has proven a good one for batting on, so we expect Jones to get her team off to a flier. You should be able to secure around $5 for this option, a good price though to be fair Jones has fared better with the bat in Test and ODI cricket than she has in T20s .. so far.

Anya Shrubsole leading wicket-taker for England

We struck paydirt with Shrubsole taking the most wickets against Thailand and while the task will be harder against the Pakistan team she is a fine bowler. We will back her again to top the charts.

England v Pakistan predictions – 28/2/2020

England should win but they would not want to take the foot off the pedal after the display Pakistan put out against the Windies. We would not recommend backing England at the super short quote. This is T20 cricket where things can ebb and flow quickly. One play could be to back Pakistan at the big price and cash out all or part of your bet if they happen to get off to a flying start. We like the look of the player markets in this one. Good punting.
