England vs Sweden prediction, WWC’19 betting and odds preview
England will go into the play-off for third at the FIFA Women’s World Cup as heavy favourites against Sweden, after their heartbreaking semi-final loss to the USA.
A leading online betting site has installed England at 1.76, with Sweden priced at 5.00 and the draw at 3.75.
The Lionesses put up a brave fight against the mighty USA, but fell short 2-1 in one of the matches of the World Cup.
Sweden will be equally as determined to bounce back after their 1-0 semi-final loss, in which Netherlands star Jackie Groenen scored in extra time.

Our football tipsters have plucked out their best bets ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup third-placed playoff.
Both teams to score
A World Cup play-off is no time not to gun for the win. Three out of the last four third-placed playoffs at the World Cup have resulted in both teams scoring, and we think this will continue here. The bet is paying 1.73 with leading bookie William Hill.
Ellen White to score anytime
England ace Ellen White has been on fire this World Cup and is in contention for the Golden Boot award, with six goals. It seems likely White starts given her shot at the individual award and, while her team will be going home without the coveted title, we think she can score and claim the Golden Boot. If White scores she will become just the second player to score in six consecutive World Cup matches and the first to do it at one tournament. White is paying 2.50 to score at any time with WilliamHill.com.
Sweden v England betting prediction
England have been starting quickly in this World Cup and we think that this will continue here with an early goal. Sweden to score just before half-time and England to score a late decider – they just have too much attacking firepower and have had an extra couple of days’ rest than their opponents. Just to be clear, we’re predicting England to win 2-1.
